To Whom It May Concern:
Listed below is an update regarding our progress toward ISO 9001:2000 certification.
As you know, changing a Quality Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 is
a large undertaking. We do however realize the importance and necessity of certification and are in the process of completing a Quality Management System that will meet and exceed the requirements for certification.
A pre-assessment audit is planned for the first half of 2007, and a final certification audit
by the end of 2007.
Our Quality Manual has been reviewed by our registrar and changes have been made accordingly. We are in the process of evaluating and revising our internal procedures as well as compiling the documentation needed for our initial audit. The ongoing development of our Quality Management System is designed to improve our ability to serve the needs of our customers.
Ideal Precision has always strived to provide our customers with the highest quality repair
and calibration work. Our repair and calibration facility currently complies with ISO Guide 25. In addition, we can provide certification by an ISO 17025 accredited lab for any tool we repair.
We apologize for any inconvenience our delay in certification has caused your company.
We fully intend to be certified in 2007. Please feel free to call with any further questions or to receive updates regarding our progress. We look forward to a continued business relationship with your company.
Thank you,
Ideal Precision Instrument Service
